This item does exactly what it is intended to do. If you need extra hanging for a short period of time, this is a great item. However, check your door before you buy. If it is too close to the wall when you open the door this won't work. Once you have hung clothes onto it, it could hit the wall. You need at least the width of a hanger between the door and the wall.

Despite the negative review I found it does the job. I assembled both sets I bought in about 20 seconds with no difficulty or harm. Yes, it is not the most stylish piece out there and wobbles ever so slightly when empty, but with clothing on it - it seems to hold strong. It's a tad bigger than I thought but nothing too big to be an inconvenience. I've used mine in a storage cupboard for coats by the front door and bathroom door for towels, clothing etc.
